The Sunrise Academy installed a weather station in the school premises on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion director of the State meteorological centre Bikram Singh discussed various aspects covered in meteorology like measuring temperature, rainfall ratio and also the weather forecast. He further emphasised the importance of weather stations in day to day life.
The head of geography department at Welham Boys School Surjeet Singh Khaira said that it is very important that students learn about local weather observation. The students have to be well acquainted with the elements of weather and climate that are their part of day-to-day life, he added.
