Congress follows pseudo not soft Hindutva: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party alleged that the Congress is continuing to pursue its policy of pseudo Hindutva, not soft Hindutva. Responding to allegations levelled by the Congress about motivated slogans being raised in Kedarnath during Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit, the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the Congress leaders should clean their face instead of cleaning the mirror.

Bhatt said this while responding to questions of the media regarding Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Kedarnath. Bhatt said, “The Congress follows the policy of pseudo not soft Hindutva wherein it resorts to taking the support of the gods for monetary or political gain. Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel didn’t even spare ‘Mahadev’ to make money.

The Enforcement Directorate probe and statements of witnesses show that the hard earned money of the people of Chhattisgarh and the nation was snatched with betting through the Mahadev app. The Chhattisgarh CM collected Rs 508 crore of the public for the election. The Congress chief minister in Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot is no different as he has worked to protect the corrupt and criminals instead of protecting the honour of women in the past five years. The BJP governments are breaking past records with their good works while the Congress governments are breaking their past records in corruption. As the elections approach near the janeu of their leaders come out of their clothes and their feet start entering temples,” said the BJP State chief.

He further said that in the past, the Congress government in the Centre used to consider Lord Ram imaginary and Hindus appeared as terrorists. “If Rahul Gandhi benefits from his Kedarnath visit and undergoes a change in his thoughts, will he also try to explain it to leaders of Congress’ coalition parties who are insulting Sanatan Dharma and talking about destroying it? Nothing of this sort is going to happen because whether it be removing illegal religious structures, enacting a strict anti-conversion law or working to bring a uniform civil code, Rahul Gandhi and his fellow leaders have always openly opposed such measures. His Kedarnath visit will not bring any change in his thinking or the thinking of the Congress party. The view of the people towards them is also not going to change,” opined Bhatt.
