Patanjali Foods Limited launches 14 new products

Yoga Guru Ramdev-led Patanjali Foods Limited has launched new products in nutraceuticals, health biscuits, nutrela millet-based cereals and dry fruits on Friday. Commenting on the launch of the new products, a spokesperson of Patanjali Foods Limited said that it has capitalised its expertise in herbal products and understanding of the Indian consumer market while introducing 14 new products catering to different consumer segments.

The company spokesperson said that in view of the projected growth of the Indian sports nutrition industry, Patanjali Foods Limited has introduced Nutrela Sports with a total of six products and 19 SKUs within the range of sports nutrition products.  It is a performance oriented, vegetarian-friendly products with bio-fermented vitamins and Ayurvedic herbs, the company claimed.

While dwelling on launch of Nutrela MaxxMillets – Ragi Choco Cereals, the company spokesperson said that under company’s plan to expand nutrela into an umbrella brand, it has launched Nutrela Maxx Millets- Ragi Choco Cereal and has plans to launch a series of millets-based products. Made from ragi, jowar, oats, wheat, rice, maize and bengal gram, it is a good source of protein, iron and dietary fibre suitable for all age groups. The product is free from maida (refined wheat flour), artificial colors/flavours, preservatives, transfat and cholesterol, the company claimed.

Patanjali Foods Limited has also launched three new biscuits – Ragi Biscuits, 7-grain Biscuits and Digestive Biscuits. While the other multi-grain biscuits available in the market are limited to a composition of five grains, the company’s 7-grain biscuit is a first-of-its-kind product in Indian biscuit markets, the company claimed.   

The company has also introduced Nutrela MaxxNuts that include almonds, cashews, pistachios and walnuts. Given the dry fruit industry being import-driven, the company has entered international partnerships with leading suppliers of almonds and pistachios.
