CM tells Govt employees to come out of 10 to 5 mindset

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the State government is committed to create a new Uttarakhand and everyone should work dedicatedly to achieve this target. He exhorted the officers and employees to get themselves free from mindset of working from 10 AM to 5 PM (office hours) and work dedicatedly for making a new Uttarakhand.

He was speaking in a programme organised by the State Information department for release of its booklet ‘Sankalp Naye Uttarakhand Ka’ here on Friday. He also released the booklet ‘Agragami Uttarakhand’ (forward moving Uttarakhand) of the State Planning department on the occasion. In a step forward towards Digital Uttarakhand, the CM launched Apani Sarkar portal of ITDA, CM helpline mobile app and portals of Transport and Panchayati Raj departments on the occasion.

 Addressing the ceremony, the CM appreciated the effort put in by different departments and agencies in creating the new apps, online systems and portals. He however added that the officers should ensure that these facilities do not become mere formalities in absence of proper maintenance, tracking and publicity.

 He said that the State government is taking measured but firm steps in the direction of taking the State forward on the path of development. 

Dhami said that a new work culture has evolved in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the State has many achievements to its credit in the journey of its last 22 years but added that many challenges are still there.

 Listing migration from mountainous areas, improvement of the health and education sectors and balanced development of the remote and mountainous areas of the State as challenges, the CM said that hardworking women, youth power, natural beauty, forest wealth and rich cultural and spiritual heritage are Uttarakhand’s biggest assets.

Dhami said that his government has accepted the challenges and taken a commitment for making Uttarakhand one of the leading states of the country by the year 2025. He said that in last eight years the country and the State have achieved new milestones of development. He said that the State government has prepared a roadmap for development of the State.

Stressing that his government walks the talk, the CM said that it has been ensured that inauguration of the projects whose foundation stone is laid are done soon.

 The special principal secretary, Information Abhinav Kumar gave an account of the works done by the department. Cabinet ministers Prem Chand Agarwal, Subodh Agarwal, Rekha Arya, Chandan Ram Dass, State president of BJP Mahendra Bhatt, Rajya Sabha MP Kalpana Saini, Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ and others were also present on the occasion.
