In latest news from Dehradun, 63 out of the 1740 State government officers selected as presiding officers skipped the first training programme held here chaired by the Dehradun district magistrate and the district election officer Sonika. While addressing the POs, the DM said that they must follow the Election Commission norms in letter and spirit during electioneering, maintaining integrity and facilitating level playing field for all the contestants in the fray. She particularly mentioned that the POs should go to and return from booths only on the Election Commission’s vehicles.
