Citizens clean Tamasa at Tapkeshwar

A number of concerned citizens and members of various groups picked garbage from the Tamasa river at Tapkeshwar on Sunday. The activity was organised by Making a Difference by Being the Difference (MAD by BTD) in collaboration with Been There Doon That, Parashakti, Waste Warriors, Pankh, DBS-NSS, Mission Clean Doon, The Humanitarian Club and various other organisations.

About 300 volunteers were seen cleaning the premises of the temple and picking up waste from the river. According to MAD by BTD, over 400 sacks of assorted garbage were collected from the area. This campaign was also an appeal to the government and temple authorities to proactively undertake effective waste management strategies.
