Constable from Bageshwar bags double gold in Canada

In latest Uttarakhand news, the head constable of Uttarakhand police Santosh Kumar who hails from Mehnaebunga village in Bageshwar district has added to the glory of the State in the realm of international games by bagging two gold medals in the World Police and Fire Games 2023 being held now in Canada. He bagged both the gold medals in archery. Elated over the head constable’s sterling performance in the international competition, the State director general of police Ashok Kumar congratulated him. Uploading his picture on social media platforms, DGP said that he had brought glory for the country as well as the State by his exemplary performance. Notably, the World Police and Fire Games 2023 commenced on July 28 and will end on August 8. Those working for the security forces across the world are showcasing their sports talent in this world-level competition. It is learnt that Santosh got his first appointment in Provincial Armed Constabulary Rudrapur. He remains keenly interested in archery since his childhood.
