Police slap challans on some hookah bars & spa centres in Doon during surprise raids

In latest Dehradun news, as ordered by the senior superintendent of police Dehradun, the specially constituted teams of several police stations conducted surprise raids at hookah bars, spa centres and drug de-addiction centres spread across the capital city. Police sources informed that on finding that these were not following rules, challans were slapped on some of these centres. As per police,  five  and 28 challans  were issued in Vasant Bihar police station limit under the sections 83 and section 81 of the Police Act respectively. A total amount of Rs 60,500 was collected by way of these challans, police said. Police sources further said that Rs 750 was collected through four challans issued in Cantt police station limit under sections 83 and 81 of the Police Act while Rs 1250 was collected through five challans issued in Patel Nagar police station limit under section   81 of the Police Act and five challans were issued in Raipur police station limit under section 83 of the Police Act.
