The Uttarakhand Congress has termed the proposal of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in which he has sought a list of ten development projects needed in the constituency from every MLA as a desperate attempt to salvage the credibility of the State government. The chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni said that the proposal is a mere gimmick to divert attention of the people from the pathetic performance of the government. She said that the CM should tell the people as to from where his government, which is on a loan taking spree, would get the budget for the 700 development proposals submitted by 70 MLAs of the State.

She said that the 228 posts in the Irrigation department were abolished and the selected candidates are being told that the government lacks budget for these posts. Dasauni claimed that CM Dhami is engaging in such acts in an attempt to salvage his image in the state.  She said that the elected MLAs of the State are intelligent and they know it pretty well that the government has no budget and the demand for ten development projects is nothing but rhetoric. She said that the State government had talked in the past about schemes such as 13 districts and 13 destinations and had claimed that the work on the All weather road would get completed by the year 2019 but all these promises failed. She said that the deteriorating law and order situation, Ankita Bhandari murder case, Kashipur fire incident, increasing prices and unemployment have exposed the BJP government of the State.
