In latest news from Uttarakhand, Shri Adarsh Ramlila Committee has written to the executive officer of Badahat municipal council of Uttarkashi, accusing the civic body of dumping garbage near the Ramlila stage. Former senior vice-president of the committee Ajay Badola, the president Gajendra Rana and the treasurer Arvind Rana were among those who signed the letter. It was stated in the letter that garbage being dumped by the municipal council near the idol of Lord Shri Ram, the Ramlila stage and the gate of the ground for a long time has forced them to appeal for its prompt removal. They also requested the officer to ensure that no garbage is dumped again at this site by the civic body.
