AAP slams Govt for failing to maintain sanctity of recruitment exams

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday burnt an effigy of the state government near Lansdowne Chowk to protest against the state government’s continuous failure to stop the frequent scams in recruitment exams affecting lakhs of youth. AAP said that the recently leaked Patwari examination paper of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UkPSC) shows government’s failure to tackle fraud in recruitment examinations despite the revelation of multiple scams done in Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) in recent months.

The vice president of the party, RP Raturi said that the BJP led government always talks about zero tolerance of corruption but frequent revelations of scams clearly shows that the government has failed to execute this policy at the ground level. With the exposure of each scam, public’s trust over the government is also declining rapidly, said Raturi. The AAP leaders said that chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had made huge claims after UKSSSC examination scams came to light.

The CM had said that the government would set such an example against fraudsters that no one would even dare to think about carrying out such a scam but all his claims fell flat within a few months, said AAP. The AAP’s spokesman Ravindra Anand said that it is condemnable how internal officers of recruitment examinations organising bodies are involved in all scams for years and yet the government continuously fails to identify or stop them. The government is certainly responsible for such frequent scams occurring in the State and ruining the lives of youth, added the AAP leader.
