The Uttarakhand Congress has alleged large scale irregularities in the dairy federation and the Dairy Development department of the State.

Interacting with the media persons at the headquarters of Uttarakhand Congress here on Saturday the chief spokesperson of the party Garima Dasauni said that it appears that the Uttarakhand Cooperative Dairy Federation (UCDF) has become a private property of a few people. She alleged that managing director of the UCDF Jaideep Arora is involved in corruption. She claimed that Arora was convicted under section 420 and 120 B of Indian Penal Code (IPC) on March 13, 2006 by chief judicial magistrate of Saharanpur following which he spent some days in prison as well but he has succeeded in getting promotions on the basis of fabricated information. She expressed surprise at the fact that Arora is at present occupying four important positions in the State. He is joint director of State Dairy Development department, director of NTDC, which is a project of the Government of India, MD UCDF and chief manager of Dehradun Dugdh Sangh. She alleged that Arora is occupying the guest house of Dehradun Dugdh Sangh. She averred that Arora works in an autocratic manner due to which the department and the dairy federations incur losses.

Dasauni said that all the dairy federations of Garhwal division are under direct supervision of Arora from the last few years but many of the federations are on the verge of closure and the employees are not receiving salaries. She alleged that Arora has succeeded in taking two promotions during this period. Dasauni said that entire works such as marketing and implementation of different schemes are being done by the UCDF and the Dairy Development department has limited itself for monitoring works only. She alleged that on October 27, 2021 Arora directed the cooperative dairy federation of Mangal Padav to purchase 300 double bed sheets for the then minister Rekha Arya. Dasauni said that in the year 2017 the then BJP MLA of Khanpur Pranav Singh Champion had levelled serious allegations of corruption on Arora.
