Villagers agree to vote after assurance of fair action in dispute

The local police and administration have managed to placate residents of Nandgaon village who had threatened to boycott the Lok Sabha election due to a land/construction dispute. The authorities have assured the villagers of fair action in the case. In a meeting held on Tuesday, Badkot station house officer Santosh Singh Kunwar, Tehsildar Dhaniram Dangwal and the Nandgaon Gram Pradhan Bahadur Singh Bisht, the villagers were told about the importance of elections in a democracy. The authorities assured the villagers that fair action will be taken in the land/construction dispute. The villagers unanimously decided that they will vote in the Lok Sabha elections on April 19.
