In latest news from Dehradun, with the administration reeling under the pressure of the Char Dham pilgrims coming in number more than double of last year, the State chief secretary Radha Raturi said that they have written to the chief secretaries of every State to inform those planning to come on the Char Dham Yatra to first register themselves before starting their journey. She made it clear that no one would be allowed to have darshan of the deities of any of the pilgrimage shrines if they have not registered.
In another order, the pilgrims have been prohibited from using mobile phones within 200 meter radius of the shrines.
