The Congress is attempting to exert pressure by staging protests outside the offices of the Enforcement Directorate after the corruption of its leaders was exposed. The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Madan Kaushik said that those who are out on bail are exhorting their followers to demonstrate in Delhi because their corruption has been caught. Kaushik said, “The Associated Journals Limited company was formed in the 1930s to publish a newspaper. Five freedom fighters also had a share in this company but today this company is doing real estate business for the Gandhi family through Young Indian. The Young Indian company was formed in 2010 with Rs five lakh. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have 76 per cent share in this company. How did property worth more than Rs 2,000 crore which was of freedom fighters become that of one family?”

Kaushik further said that Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Young Indian company should clarify their connection with a hawala company in Kolkata. He said that those who are raising hue and cry to pressurise the ED should recall that after its formation in 2010, the Young Indian company was a charitable company but did not do any charity work till 2016 and instead started real estate work. The Congress loaned Rs 90 crore it had received in donation to this company and then wrote it off. These facts and figures clearly show that corruption was orchestrated, alleged Kaushik.

He further averred that in 2010 all the shares of Associate Journals Limited were transferred to Young Indian of the Gandhi family. Stating that there is a lot of difference between facts and claims, he said that the Congress has acted despicably by harassing the public with its demonstration in Delhi to hide the corruption of the Gandhi family.
