Maharaj approves projects worth Rs 4.38 crore for Chaubattakhal, his constituency

While visiting his own Assembly constituency Chaubattakhal in Pauri district, the State tourism, public works and irrigation minister Satpal Maharaj approved development projects worth over Rs 4.38 crore. The projects approved by the minister include the asphaltisation of Juniser-Bansai motor road aside from homestays and fishery centres which are coming up in Satpuli. Besides, computers worth Rs 70 lakh were distributed among the  gram pradhans of several villages under Ekeshwar block. He assured that motor road stretching to 67 kms would be built in one year with the cost of about Rs 79 crore. He further said that a large sum of fund has been approved to strengthen irrigation system as part of flood protection measure. Plus, 58 panchayat bhavans would be built in the financial year 2022-23, he said, adding that tourist rest houses would also be built under the aegis of the State tourism department.

Furthermore, funds have been approved for pumping drinking water projects and 674 all-women self-help groups have been provided funds too under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, the minister said.
