Party releases pictures of BJP leaders trampling tricolour made of flowers
Accusing the BJP leaders of showing disrespect towards the national flag the Uttarakhand Congress have claimed that the tricolour made of flowers was trampled upon by the BJP leaders at its State office on February 24. The party has also released the picture of the alleged disrespect of the national flag and also submitted a complaint to the director general of Uttarakhand police in this regard. As per the Congress, the incident happened during the booth empowerment workshop held at the headquarters of Uttarakhand BJP.
Launching an attack on the BJP leaders, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara said that the BJP leaders have become so much intoxicated with power that they are now daring to insult even the national flag. He said that the State president of BJP Mahendra Bhatt, Rajya Sabha MP Kalpana Saini and State in-charge Dushyant Kumar should seek public apology for their action. He added that the picture showing the BJP leaders trampling the national flag made from flowers has exposed the BJP leaders and their false nationalism.
