Sansi gang head caught after 6 years

The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested Raja Sansi alias Rajveer, the mastermind of the Sansi gang who has been absconding for six years following a case of theft in Jwalapur railway station. A reward of Rs 15,000 had been announced on his arrest. He was caught by the GRP when he was allegedly trying to carry out a crime.

In 2016, a major incident of theft of gold-silver ornaments and cash from a passenger was carried out at Jwalapur railway station. This incident was carried out by six members of the gang. GRP had already arrested four accused in this case, while one member has died. Sansi, who was the mastermind of this incident, was still absconding until his arrest by a joint team of GRP Haridwar and SOG. 

The Raja Sansi gang was active not only in Uttarakhand but also in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan and even Madhya Pradesh. They used to carry out incidents of robbery and theft at different places.
