Rain & snowfall likely in parts of five districts today

The rainy spell is likely to continue in parts of five districts on Thursday. The State meteorological centre has forecast that very light to light rain/thunderstorm/snowfall are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts specially in the higher reaches. Dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to witness mainly clear to partly cloudy skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 30 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius respectively today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Wednesday were 29.5 degrees Celsius and 12.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 31.2 degrees Celsius and 12.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 19.3 degrees Celsius and 5.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 19.1 degrees Celsius and 5.8 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
