In latest news from Uttarakhand, torrential rain wreaked havoc in some areas in Bageshwar and Kapkot. The kunti nala in Mandalsera experienced flash flood in the wake of the heavy rain and the people living the neighbourhood of the nala had to stay awake at night, fearing water gush into their homes. Many said that along with water, debris entered their homes and disrupted normal life.
Normal functioning of the district hospital was disrupted too as rain water entered a ward, forcing the authority to shift patients to another ward. Besides, as rain triggered prolonged power outages, x-ray could not be conducted.
