PM lays foundation for THDCIL’s 600 MW Lalitpur solar power project

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for THDCIL and UPNEDA’s joint venture company TUSCO Ltd’s 600 MW Lalitpur solar power project located in Uttar Pradesh from Adilabad in Telangana on Monday.

Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were the Union Minister of Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region, G Kishan Reddy, Governor of Telangana Tamilisai Soundararajan and chief minister A Revanth Reddy. 

The Union Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy, R K Singh also joined the programme from the POWERGRID substation in Maharani Bagh, New Delhi. CMD, THDCIL and chairman, TUSCO R K Vishnoi  said that the 600 MW solar power project in Lalitpur marked a significant step towards achieving India’s renewable energy targets and underscored the nation’s resolve to lead the global fight against climate change.
