Kejriwal to visit Doon on January 3

The Delhi chief minister (CM) and national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal will visit Dehradun on January 3 ahead of the 2022 state assembly elections. Delhi’s cabinet minister Gopal Rai said this on the first day of his two-day visit to the state on Friday. Addressing mediapersons in the party’s head office, Rai informed that AAP will start the ‘Navnirman Ke Liye Navparivartan’ campaign on January 3 which will be launched by Kejriwal.  He will also address a public gathering in Parade Ground on his sixth visit to the state. He said, “Kejriwal has given four guarantees to the state so far and all will be fulfilled if the party comes to power. The governments of BJP and Congress have completely destroyed the state in over two decades but AAP will reform it like it did in Delhi.”

He also informed that AAP is scheduled to launch another campaign Uttarakhand Navnirman in nine constituencies- Gangotri, Tehri, Srinagar, Bageshwar, Almora, Haldwani, Dehradun, Haridwar and Kashipur on January 9. “Several senior leaders of AAP will be part of this campaign under which, events will be organised in all 70 constituencies. Various street plays, shows and films will be organised to raise awareness among the locals about the party and its vision for Uttarakhand,” said Rai. He also informed that the party will make different manifestos for each constituency as per the requirement of each area. The party has intensified its preparations and will release the first list of the names of candidates for the elections in the first week of January too, asserted Rai.
