Perfect Dynamics, located in Sector-9 of SIIDCUL, has sold its plant to Samaj Automotive, throwing 41 permanent staffers out of job. The employees who have lost jobs staged sit-in at the company gate demanding employment at the new company. The union of the employees also sought intervention of the state labour department. It is learnt that the labour department has sent notices to two companies and sought reply. The employees said that the number of permanent and contractual employees of the company is 450. They further said that when they reached office the main gate was shut for them at the behest of the company management. He protested at the company gate demanding employment in the new company and demanded the intervention of the labor department to get justice. The labor department has sent notices to both the companies seeking answers.
The assistant labour commissioner Prasant Kumar said that Perfect Dynamics had sold the plant to Samaj Automotive, adding that on the basis of the complaint lodged by the workers’ union, the department has sent notice to both the companies.
