A day after the two vacancies of election commissioners were filled, the Election Commission of India stated in a communique that it would announce the much – awaited dates of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections at a press briefing at 3 pm on March 16 in Delhi. Along with the LS poll dates, the same for the four assemblies where elections are due would be announced. Reliable sources say that the LS polls may be divided in 7/8 phases spanning April and May.
