Max temp to be above normal in mountains for three days

The mountainous regions of the State may experience warmer conditions for a period of three days starting on Wednesday. The State meteorological centre has forecast that the maximum temperature is likely to remain eight to 10 degrees Celsius above normal in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand during a three-day period starting on Wednesday. Further, dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 27 degrees Celsius and nine degrees Celsius respectively on Wednesday. Meanwhile, various parts of the State experienced warmer conditions on Tuesday with noticeable departure from normal in the maximum and minimum temperatures in some places. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Tuesday were 24 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 23.8 degrees Celsius and 4.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 19.8 degrees Celsius and 7.2 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 18 degrees Celsius and 8.2 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
