Covid tally crosses 25,000 in Uttarakhand

807 positive cases, seven deaths reported in the state on Monday

The total number of Covid-19 cases in Uttarakhand crossed 25,000 on Monday with 807 new cases reported in the state on the day. Seven Covid positive persons expired while 473 recovered in the state on the day. With the cases reported on Monday, the total number of positive cases in the state has now climbed up to 25,436 out of which 7,965 are active cases while 17,046 have recovered. A total of 348 Covid positive persons have died in the state so far. The doubling rate for Uttarakhand is 20.97 days, the recovery percentage is 67.02 per cent while 5.78 per cent of the total samples tested have come out positive so far.

According to information provided by the health department, out of the Covid-19 positive cases reported on Monday, 241 were reported in Dehradun district, 142 in Nainital and 118 in Udham Singh Nagar. Among the remaining districts, the positive cases found on the same day were 13 in Almora, seven in Bageshwar, 12 in Chamoli, 19 in Champawat, 73 in Haridwar, 84 in Pauri, seven in Pithoragarh, 15 in Rudraprayag, 41 in Tehri and 35 in Uttarkashi.

With the cases reported on Monday, Dehradun now has 1,859 active cases while there are 1,373 in Haridwar, 1085 in Nainital, 1,373 in Udham Singh Nagar, 248 in Almora, 92 in Bageshwar, 124 in Chamoli, 193 in Champawat, 437 in Pauri, 224 in Pithoragarh, 177 in Rudraprayag, 474 in Tehri and 306 in Uttarkashi. Out of the total 348 deaths of Covid positive persons reported so far, 170 have been reported in Dehradun district, 66 in Nainital, 54 in Haridwar, 37 in Udham Singh Nagar, seven in Pauri, two each in Almora, Pithoragarh and Tehri, three each in Champawat and Uttarkashi, one each in Bageshwar and Rudraprayag.
