Covid-19 cases increasing in U’khand

39 new cases reported on Thursday; active cases 220 in the state

The number of cases of the Covid-19 in Uttarakhand is increasing. On Thursday the state health department reported 39 new cases of the disease.  The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,44,697 while a total of 3,30,872  patients have recovered from the disease so far.  A total of 7415 patients of the disease have so far died in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.99 per cent while the sample positivity rate on Thursday was 0.22 per cent. 

The state health department reported 12 new patients from Udham Singh Nagar, 11 from Dehradun and ten from Nainital on Thursday. Similarly four patients from Pithoragarh and one each from Chamoli and Pauri were also reported on the day.

 The state now has 220 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 72 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Udham Singh Nagar has 43 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi now have no active cases of the disease.  In the ongoing vaccination drive 44,844 people were vaccinated in 953 sessions in the state held on Thursday.
