In latest news from Doon, the regional meteorological centre issued yellow alert, forecasting rain and hail along with squall across Uttarakhand, spanning plains and hills. As per the forecast, wind at the speed of 40 to 50 km per hour may lash a large swathe of plain areas in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts. It may rain or drizzle in a number of districts, including Dehradun, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital and Almora.
