The Uttarakhand cabinet minister of women empowerment and child development Rekha Arya said that as part of self-employment scheme for the single women, the State government would provide them with loans with very low interest. This will help them with self employment and their financial status will improve, she said, adding that this proposal would be placed before the next cabinet meeting.
The minister held a review meeting with the officials and she was posted with the information regarding the progress of the projects initiated by the department.
