The Doon International School celebrated English Week on its premises from August 7 to 11. The school principal Dinesh Bartwal said that English Week was celebrated to emphasise the significance of the language among the students. The events held during the week included special assemblies featuring motivational aspects, lectures on the importance of the English language, poetry recitations and debates, he added.
He further informed that students from classes VI to XII actively participated in the English Week. The aim of the event was to enhance the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills of the students through progressive methodologies. Bartwal said that during the week, artistic posters showcasing diverse genres of English literature were also put up on the campus.
