Covid-19 Vaccination data being fudged- Mohan Bhandari

Tuesday, 17 May 2022 | PNS | Dehradun

Leveling serious allegations of corruption and irregularities in the Covid-19 vaccination, the president of Uttarakhand unit of National Students Union of India (NSUI), Mohan Bhandari has claimed that both the State and Union governments are providing wrong data of vaccination. Giving his own example he said that he received the message informing him that he had taken the second dose of vaccine at Community Health Centre (CHC) Gairsain on May 14, 2022 but on that day he was in Dehradun and he had not taken the vaccine.  Interacting with the media persons at Congress Bhawan here on Monday Bhandari said when he inquired about the message at the office of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Chamoli, he was told that the state administration has directed that all those who have not received the second dose of vaccine should be shown vaccinated. The NSUI president added that he received similar responses from other districts also that the non vaccinated people are being shown vaccinated when inquired. He claimed that the government is presenting false data of vaccination similar to the manner in which it gave wrong data of deaths during the Covid period.

Bhandari said that a total of Rs 35000 Crore have so far been spent on the Covid vaccination but the manner in which false data of vaccination is being given proves that major corruption has occurred. He said that the bogus vaccination certificates being given by the government to the persons who have not received the vaccine is dangerous for the health of the general public. Bhandari demanded that the government should reply as to why people are being shown vaccinated even when they have not received the vaccine. He warned that the NSUI would hold nationwide protests on the issue. The national convener of NSUI Vikas Negi and others accompanied Bhandari.
