All pilgrims stayed safe during recent disaster- CM

The chief minister Puskhar Singh Dhami said that there were more than 1.5 lakh pilgrims in the state when the recent rain triggered disaster struck the state and all of them remained safe.

Speaking in a programme in Dehradun on Thursday the CM said that the state government became active on October 16 when it received a warning of very heavy rainfall. “We declared a holiday in all the schools, halted the Char Dham Yatra and asked the officers to ensure the safety of the people and pilgrims,’’ he said.
