3rd wave nearing peak in U’khand- Dr Agarwal

The nodal officer for the Covid-19 at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital Dr Anurag Agarwal has said that the third wave of the pandemic is nearing its peak. He said that war against the Covid-19 is in its last phase. Dr Agarwal said that the Omicron variant is a highly contagious virus and its symptoms are fever, body ache, back ache, headache, sore throat, cold, cough and dysentery. He said that the new variant can be dangerous to the people having pre existing diseases. Dr Agarwal added that those having the above mentioned symptoms should compulsorily get themselves tested for Covid-19 and take medicines as advised by the doctor. He said that those doing their own test from the antigen testing kits should inform the result to the medical store from where they have purchased the kit. Dr Agarwal informed that 23 patients are at present admitted in the hospital. On Tuesday six new admissions were done while nine patients were discharged. On the day 940 people took consultation at the OPD of the hospital.
