In a unique method of registering protest, the president of Uttarakhand Mahila Congress Jyoti Rautela and general secretary Shivani Thapliyal Mishra got their heads tonsured during the protest on Thursday. The duo demanded a CBI probe in the Ankita Bhandari murder case and said that the women are not safe in the State. The protestors were arrested by the police and taken to the police lines.
