The Vidya Sameeksha Kendra (VSK) which will bring the education system of the State in the online platform would be inaugurated by the Union Education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

With the inauguration of VSK complete data of all the teachers and the students will be available online and the government and departmental officers will see it with one click from their offices.

The State’s Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said on Friday that in 2022, the union government had approved a sum of Rs five crore for the setting up of VSK in the State. He further said that Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a Government of India undertaking, is the executive agency for setting up the centre. “The work has been completed and it will be officially launched by the Union education minister,” the minister said.

Rawat said that as all the data related to all the schools, students and teachers will be available online, the departmental officers will be able to monitor and evaluate the studies and progress of the students in each school online. “Not just this but the transfer of teachers and non-teaching staff will also be done online through the VSK” he said.

He further said that to ensure that VSK is properly implemented in the State, two nodal officers would be appointed at the directorate level and one for each of the districts.  Rawat added that the real database of the students will be linked with the departments of health, women and child development, social welfare and others in VSK. For this, user ID will be made available to all the stakeholders from school to the state level so that new data can be updated from time to time.

The additional project director Mukul Kumar Sati said that after the inauguration of VSK , the physical details of the schools, including the funds available to each school and information about its sources, will be available online. “Moreover, geo fencing- based online / real time presence of students and teachers will be available. Even arrangements have been made in VSK to ensure that if the attendance cannot be recorded in the schools of the remote areas due to lack of network it will be uploaded automatically after the arrival of network,” he added.
