Rain likely in parts of four mountain districts, dry weather in rest of State

Parts of four mountainous districts may receive light rain on Saturday while the rest of the State is forecast to remain dry. The State meteorological centre has forecast that very light to light rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at isolated places in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Chamoli districts on Saturday. Dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the State today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is expected to witness a mainly clear sky with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 37 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius respectively today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Friday were 36.8 degrees Celsius and 18.4 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 36.5 degrees Celsius and 16.1 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 24.8 degrees Celsius and 12.2 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar, 26.1 degrees Celsius and 14.1 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
