Vehicle falls in Alaknanda river, one saved, other missing

An accident took place on Wednesday in Srinagar, Uttarakhand when a vehicle carrying two people fell into the Alaknanda river. The accident happened late in the night. As soon as the information of the accident was received by the rescue team, they reached the site and carried out the rescue work. According to the sources, the victims by the names of Akash Rathi and Sandeep Rathi belonged to the Haridwar district and were on their way to Badrinath. While Akash was reportedly spotted holding a stone in the middle of the river and was pulled out with the help of ropes by the rescue team, the search for Sandeep is going on. Akash had been sent to the nearest hospital by the police.
