In latest news from Uttarakhand, a major chopper crash was averted thanks to the pilot’s alertness and presence of mind while the helicopter carrying seven pilgrims was flying towards Kedarnath. It made an emergency landing 100 meter away from the helipad in Kedarnath shrine after a technical snag developed. Notably, 10 chopper crashes occurred in 11 years.
