Parag Agrawal becomes new Twitter CEO, replaces Jack Dorsey

Indian-American Parag Agrawal took over as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter on Monday replacing Jack Dorsey. Dorsey announced his resignation by posting a tweet: “Not sure anyone has heard but, I resigned from Twitter.” Agrawal, an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay had joined Twitter in 2011 and had been serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) since 2017. Agrawal took to Twitter and expressed his gratitude for Jack Dorsey and thanked the entire Twitter team.

With Agrawal stepping in, he has joined the list of Indian- American CEO’s who have been running the US tech giants which include Microsoft CEO- Satya Nadella, Google CEO- Sundar Pichai, IBM CEO- Arvind Krishna, Adobe CEO- Shantanu Narayen, Arista Networks CEO- Jayshree Ullal and more.
