Tuesday, 02 April 2024 | PNS | DEHRADUN

The students of Doon University participated in a cleanliness drive under the Namami Gange Swachhata Pakhwada (NGSP). During the NGSP, the students engaged in a 24-hour intensive cleanathon. Drawing upon the principles of behaviour change and design thinking, the students delved into a spectrum of initiatives to address persistent issues like littering and graffiti. They crafted solutions aimed at fostering a culture of cleanliness that would endure long after the conclusion of the Pakhwada. To sensitise their peers and the wider campus community, they utilised mediums like posters, banners and slogans.

At the end of the event, participants were recognised with certificates of participation and celebrated for their unwavering commitment and sincere efforts. The students of Doon University not only tackled immediate challenges but also laid the foundation for a legacy of environmental stewardship and civic responsibility by embracing the ethos of the NGSP.

During the programme, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Surekha Dangwal and many other academic officials were present.
