U’khand’s diaspora to play major role in 2022 polls- Kaushik

The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Madan Kaushik informed about the various works undertaken by the party organisation in Uttarakhand especially in view of the coming Assembly elections. He said this while virtually attending the national executive meeting of the party along with 12 other leaders of the party from the state on Sunday.

Kaushik informed that the party had prepared a separate plan for Uttarakhandi diaspora which will prove to be a major basis of the 2022 Assembly elections. He said that the formation of committees at 11,024 booths had been completed. Some new parties are trying to make an entry but the public is opposing them from time to time. He said that more than 250 workers of other parties including two MLAs had joined the BJP recently. All the tasks planned as part of the road map prepared during the party’s Chintan Shivir in Ramnagar earlier this year will be completed by December. Those made election in-charge are touring various assembly constituencies along with other office bearers of the party. Kaushik said that the party’s national general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh had toured various districts and chaired the core committee meeting apart from providing guidance consistently for further strengthening the party organisation. He claimed that the Jan Ashirvad rallies held in the recent past had elicited a rousing response from the public. Election management committees have also been formed in the state and all the committee members are busy with their tasks.

Expressing his views in the meeting, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extolled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. The tasks which once seemed impossible are now nearing completion. The Atmanirbhar and Garib Kalyan schemes provided employment to crores of people while also ensuring two square meals for the poor during the Covid-19 pandemic. Dhami also appreciated the special cooperation of the PM received by Uttarakhand. Referring to the central government projects underway in the state, the chief minister also listed the achievements of the state government. He said that with the help of the centre, many such tasks have been executed in the state which earlier seemed impossible. Various projects worth more than Rs one lakh crore have been approved by the centre for Uttarakhand in the past five years. Many of these projects have been completed while work is underway on the remaining. Dhami said that the state government is committed to making Uttarakhand the best state by 2025 with the state will be marking the silver anniversary of its creation. He expressed confidence that the BJP will form a majority government under the leadership and guidance of PM Modi.
