U’khand to be a model state at 25, says Dhami

Uttarakhand is currently 21 years old and by the time it turns 25, it will be a model state of India. The announcements being made by the state government are also being executed on the ground. A government order is going to be issued soon to raise the allowance of Gram Pradhans to Rs 3,500. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said this while addressing a gathering at Gopeshwar in Chamoli on Sunday.

Regarding the Char Dham Yatra, the CM said that the pilgrimage provides livelihood to a large number of people. The start of the pilgrimage has been received with considerable enthusiasm in the people, he said. At the Janata Milan programme, Dhami told the officials to resolve public grievances in a simple manner. Receiving the memorandums of the people regarding their grievances, he said that these will be sent to the department concerned. Referring to the Badrinath master plan, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adding that the work being done at present is on an unprecedented scale.  Citing the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line and the all-weather road, Dhami also informed the people about various public welfare schemes of the state government. The state government is providing interest-free loan of upto Rs five lakh to women of self help groups while open gymnasiums will be established in every village under the healthy youth, healthy Uttarakhand scheme of the government. The chief minister also made a number of announcements for development and construction works in various parts of the district. The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Madan Kaushik, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha state president Kundan Latwal, Badrinath MLA Mahendra Bhatt, Tharali MLA Munni Devi and others were also present on the occasion.
