The beneficial effects of Giloy (Tinospora Cordifolia) have now been accepted by the United Kingdom as well, informed Acharya Balkrishna on Monday and added that the renowned research journal ‘Journal of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain’ published by Oxford University Press had brought out an article in The Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology admitting the benefits of taking Giloy for erratic liver functioning.

“The journal’s acceptance through research on Giloy that it helps keep the liver healthy as well as prevents degradation of body cells is a vindication of our stand. Giloy has been traditionally used since ancient times for blood purification and boosting immunity.  As per the article, Giloy is a great immunity booster.  By using Giloy daily, one can get relief from multiple ailments. Also, it may be used as a food supplement that protects the liver,” Balkrishna said.

He further said that while all-out efforts are being made to   crush Ayurveda, Patanjali remains committed to its mission of propagating Ayurveda across the world. “It is being said that overuse of Giloy leaves adverse effects on the liver. But the scientists of Patanjali Research Institute have proved that such ideas being spread with malicious intentions are arrant falsehood.  The scientists all over the world are now acknowledging the efficacy of Ayurveda thanks to the relentless efforts of Patanjali,” he added.
