94 new cases of Covid-19 reported in U’khand

The State Health department reported the death of one patient and 94 new cases of Covid -19 from different parts of Uttarakhand on Saturday. The department had reported 214 cases of the disease in the last two days. The authorities reported the death of one patient at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital for the third consecutive day on Saturday.

The authorities reported 54 new cases of Covid-19 from Dehradun on Saturday. The department also found 29 new cases of the disease in Nainital, four in Haridwar, three each in Bageshwar and Tehri, two each in Almora and Pithoragarh and one each in Uttarkashi, Udham Singh Nagar and Pauri on Saturday. No new cases of the disease were reported from Chamoli, Champawat and Rudraprayag districts on the day.   

 The authorities declared 79 patients recovered from the disease on Saturday.  The department has so far detected 1098 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year in the State . A total of 797 patients have recovered from the disease so far. A total of nine patients have lost their lives from the disease from January 1 this year in the state.  The State now has 292 active patients of Covid-19.  Dehradun has 98 active cases of the disease while there are 78 in Nainital, 32 in Haridwar, 14 in Almora, 16 in Tehri, 12 in Pauri,  10 each in Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh, seven each in Bageshwar, Chamoli and one each in Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar of the infection at present. Rudraprayag is the only district of the State where there is no active case of the disease now.
