U’khand Cong to take out Parivartan Yatras

Three-day Chintan Shivir concludes 

The three day Chintan Shivir of Uttarakhand Congress ended in Rishikesh on Thursday. Addressing the media persons after the end of the conclave, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal said that the state Congress would soon take out Parivartan Yatras in the state. He said that these Yatras would cover mountainous areas of Kumaon and Garhwal and plain areas of the state. He said that the people of the state are reeling under twin assaults of unemployment and pandemic of Covid. He said that when Congress would come to power in the state it would focus on providing employment to those who lost their jobs during the pandemic and would prepare a policy document for regularisation of slums and promotion of traditional craftsmen. Godiyal claimed that the people want BJP out of power in Uttarakhand.

The Uttarakhand in-charge of the Congress, Devendra Yadav said that a lot of suggestions have come from the members of different committees during the three-day conclave. Former chief minister Harish Rawat said that the Congress government would fill all the vacant posts in government departments within one year. He said that the Congress government would scrap the Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam board.
