UCOST holds interactive lecture on International Museum Day

An interactive lecture was organised by the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST) to mark International Museum Day on Thursday. Speaking as the chief guest, retired scientist and curator of Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, AK Nanda spoke in detail about the museum of the institute.

He informed about how the museum was created and the ancient organisms and other displays in it. Science City advisor GS Rautela spoke on the utility of science museums in a society. He spoke on how museums can encourage scientific attitude among people and how new technology can be used to connect more people with museums. UCOST joint director DP Uniyal informed the students about the regional science centre and the Himalayan gallery.
