Two killed after car crashes into truck in Doiwala

A truck driver Yaseen and a 21-year-old woman Khushi died after a car crashed into a truck early on Tuesday morning in Lal Tappad area of Doiwala. The police informed that some onlookers stated that the accident took place around 4 AM after a car with four passengers crashed into the stationary truck and the truck driver who was allegedly changing a tyre at that time. As per the information received so far, the driver Yaseen, a resident of Japsur, was going to Haridwar from Dehradun but had to step down near Bal Kumari temple when his truck broke down, stated the police.

According to them, the driver died soon after the car collided with the truck. The police further informed that there were two men and two women in the car who were found seriously injured after the accident. Four persons- 25-year-old Mohit from Haryana, 24-year-old Ruchika Chauhan from Kalsi in Dehradun, 21-year-old Aditya Singh from Bijnor and 21-year-old Khushi from Tehri were present in the car at the time of the mishap as per the police. The latter three are students of DAV PG college in Dehradun. The police said that the four injured persons were admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh but Khushi died during the treatment in the morning. The condition of Aditya from Bijnor was also critical till the evening. On the question of the cause of the accident, the police said that it is being said that the driver of the car did not notice the truck driver but nothing can be said for sure before the police thoroughly investigate the matter.
