The Twitter account of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal has been suspended. Giving information about it, Godiyal said on his Facebook page that his Twitter account has been blocked temporarily. He said that he would continue to raise his voice for the people without any fear.
Meanwhile the leaders of Congress party have reacted strongly to the development. Terming the episode unfortunate, the state secretary of Uttarakhand Congress Mahesh Joshi said that suspension of Twitter account of PCC president without his consent amounts to breach of freedom of expression. He said that Twitter India has no right to such an activity. Joshi said that if raising voice against the wrong policies of BJP government and dictatorial attitude of BJP is construed as wrong then all the Congressmen would do such things. He added that the BJP government cannot stifle the voice of the common man.
