ONGC honours veterans on International Day of Older Persons

On the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, 34 former ONGC officers who had attained the age of 80 plus were honoured by the former CMD of ONGC Alka Mittal, ED of KDMIPE SN Chitnis and president – Management and Leadership Development Centre, New Delhi, a former HR director of ONGC Jauhari Lal on Saturday. Those who were honoured included, some ex-ONGCIANS who are aged 90 plus.

Speaking on the occasion, Mittal said that ONGC is what it is today basically due to the hard work and dedicated services rendered by the veterans sitting here today. She credited the seniors for ONGC’s good reputation and a good culture. Lal said that the elderly should make every endeavour to enjoy their life. Chitnis said that age is just a number and since it is inevitable, one has to reconcile and make the best use of the circumstances.
