Nanhi Dunya celebrates 75 years of foundation

Nanhi Dunya- the International Movement of Children and their Friends celebrated 75 years of its foundation. Former MP Tarun Vijay was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion he said that he had learnt a lot of values from the founder Lekh Raj Ulfat. He also appreciated the students for their cultural performance on the occasion.

Children of Nanhi Dunya from the age of seven to 17 years under the guidance of Satvika Goyal performed a medley of 20 folk dances from different cultures of the world. The children also included thos from Nanhi Dunya’s Vikasnagar branch. Chief promoter Kiran Ulfal Goyal and chief education officer Alok Ulfat also expressed their views on the occasion.

Nanhi Dunya movement was founded in 1946 by Lekh Raj Ulfat with eight children listening to stories and playing games sitting under a tree in Dehradun. In 1953 he was joined by his wife Harbans Sadhana Ulfat and other colleagues. About 1,200 beneficiaries are attending its centres at present.
